Personality (as described by Lisa):  Mike is an all-around good guy.  He’s a “what you see is what you get” kind of person.  Everybody likes him as he is fun loving, considerate and kind.  He is what I call a “kind soul” who is compassionate and patient yet has enough backbone to do what needs to be done.  He is down-to-earth, level-headed, and well grounded.  When making decisions, he uses good judgment and common sense.  He is a hard worker and is willing to help people in need.  His temperament is “even keel” and he is slow to anger.  He’s a man of his word.  He always thinks of how his actions will affect others and is interested in doing the right thing.

Health:  Excellent.  Exercises 4-5 times a week.

Early family background & home life:  I grew up on a farm and loved working with my dad. Learned how to do chores and have fun playing with all my neighbor friends.  Always active in Little League sports.  Enjoyed exploring with my friends.  I had a great time being a kid.  Mom and Dad were the best.

Parenting philosophy:  Do exactly what my parents did . . . lots of love, tons of support, good structure, discipline when needed, and the freedom to learn from both good and bad decisions.
